How do I know if I need a plumber?

Like a leaking tap or a slow-draining sink, some plumbing issues are little and simple to address. However, it’s advisable to phone a licenced plumber if you spot burst pipes, sewage backups, flooding, gas leaks, or continuous leaks. Attempting these fixes yourself can make the problem worse or unsafe.

If not handled right away, a plumbing emergency is any problem that can create health risks, damage, or safety risks. Common examples are gas leaks, clogged drains resulting in flooding, burst pipes, and overflowing toilets. Should one have any questions, it is better to phone us right away.

Often, a fast rise in your water bill suggests a leak in your plumbing system somewhere. Over time, even tiny leaks can waste hundreds of litres. When taps are off, search for damp areas, odd noises, or running water. We can find and correct the source fast if you are unable to.

Though chemical drain cleans may sound like a fast fix, they can harm your pipes and lead to ongoing problems. We advise letting a professional clear the obstruction with appropriate tools and methods for safe and effective outcomes.

At Sigma Plumbing, emergency calls come first. Although response times vary on location and the extent of the problem, our licenced plumbers try to come as swiftly as they can to reduce harm and return your plumbing safely.

You should have your plumbing system checked at least once a year, or sooner should you detect slow drains, poor water pressure, leaks, or odd sounds. Frequent checks stop little problems from turning into costly emergencies.
